Thanks Patrick, but unfortunately, upon uninstalling the Office 2007 trial,
then re-installing my Office 2003, when trying to import my .pst file (I have
a few backed up) - whichever way I try - I always receive the following
pop-up message:

"The file C:\Documents and Settings\...\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not compatible with this version of the
Personal Folders information Service. Contact your administrator."

Apologies for not being specific in the first instance....

Thanks again

Removing 2007 and reinstalling Outlook 2003 should be sufficient.

Don't use import. Just open the file via File, Open. Does that work?
