how to convert 27 mb movie(av) picture to send by e-mail

Took pictures with Canon 450-saved to my documents; Two pictures are
movie(AV) files-27 mb and 16 mb;
How can I convert so that I can send by e-mail(I have Outlook express
6)(windows xp)

If you have windows XP, Windows Movie Maker should do it.

Go up to the top of the screen. In the search box type in ".avi files"
(without the quotes). The second thread that comes up should be .wmv with
about 40 replys. That will explain on how to go about doing it. I had a
similar problem and "these guys" John, Yves, Papa John and others explained
how to make them into much smaller files. It worked for me. I took the movies
with my Canon A 70 camera.

Right click on the file and select "Compress and Email"

Drop the resolution, drop the frame rate, drop the bit rate, re-encode the
hell out of it and get ready to enjoy some craptastic video.

Or, burn to CD and snail-mail it. If a video file size is a concern, it
shouldn't be emailed to begin with.

All IMNSHO, of course. :blush:)
