I just bought a new video card for a pc whose onboard vga has died.

When I plug in the new card there is no display. However i know that if I reinstall windows the drivers for this card will be installed automatically for this card.

I know there is a way to auto fill in the forms where the xp install asks you to before you reinstall windows. Usually people use this for installing the same configuration on multiple pcs so that they can run the install and walk away from it and not have to come back until is is completely installed. However, I can't remember how!! Can't seem to find the answer online either. This was something I learned how to do in a class a long long time ago.

Can anyone help with this one?

thanks!

When you try to start the pc, press "Delete" to give you access to the BIOS, make sure that the card is showing and set up correctly.

With a normal Microsoft genuine cd for XP you have to do a attended install. I belive that a unattended install is possible but it is ususlly done by network admins.

The method you sugesst is normaly done with a "home made install cd". The cd being made with "nLite" or some othere software.
