How to close the Microsoft office "favorite folders" button

I only want the "All file folders" to appear at the left side of the email
box. I don't need the repetetive "favorite folders" button at the top. How
do I delete this, please?

Then I guess I don't understand what you are trying to remove. Perhaps
share the Version of Outlook that you are using, and the actual name of
the Button. Also what shows in the Tooltip when you hold the cursor over
the button.

It's not a button. In the Mail view of the Nav Pane, there's a "Favorite
Folders" section (above the "All Mail Folders" section) to which you can drag
folders to make them more easily found. Since he doesn't use that area, he
wants to suppress its appearance. I don't think that's possible in that view.

Since she called it a Button, that would explain why it didn't disappear
when the Web tool wasn't visible! ;-) And you called that right.
