How to avoid a slide clearing itself after the last animation effe

I have added animation to a slide with a diagram so that I can build it up
element by element. However, once the last element of text appears, the
slide then clears itself. I want the complete diagram to remain at that
point until I click for the next slide. Any advice how to do that?

It shouldn't clear itself unless you have set it to do so. However, you
might try adding an additional animation (possibly one that takes place
entirely off the viewable portion of the slide) so that the diagram
might stay on until after that animation is done.
