How to automatically download to Outlook inbox from netzero inbox.

I use netzero but wish to use Outlook. I have setup Outlook as my default
email server. Problem: all my mail comes to netzero and I must manually
download using send/receive button. Is this normal or can I set up Outlook
to automatically download from the netzero account? Tks.

You wiil need to contact Netzero for the directions to set up the
incoming/outgoing mail servers in Outlook.

You can set Outlook to automatically check for new mail every X minutes and
that should do it. You'll have to read the Outlook Help file for
instructions since you didn't provide your Outlook version for me to help you
with that part.

Netzero on Outlook 2003

I have a netzero.net account and here is what I
did to send and receive from my NetZero Account
using Outlook 2003.
Note: I also moved all my files in Netzero
to my "Inbox" selected them again and marked
as unread. I now have all my emails on my
computer and cataloged.
It is great not having to put up with the ads and
such other nonsense.
1)In Outlook go into setting up a New Account and
enter:

E-Mail Address= (e-mail address removed)

For Mail Settings:
Incoming pop3=pop3.netzero.net
Outgoing smpt=authsmtp.netzero.com

Under more settings

General organization = Your Name

Reply (e-mail address removed)

Outgoing server:

Put a check by requires authentication

Log on using

memberid

yourpassword

check remember

Connection may vary depending on LAN or dial up

Under Advanced

Incoming=110

Outgoing=587

No checks in this area

Finally check to leave copy on server for only 10 days for you to view from
a work computer.

I am paying for the Netzero 4.95/mo. plan.

I hope this helps.

Between Microsofts and Netzero's misinformation this finally worked.
