How to apply audit policy

What is the recommened way to apply an audit policy to all my workstations?
I have configured the defualt domain policy to my audit settings
(specifically object access) and the clients are receiving that policy,
however they do not actually audit unless it's specified on the local
workstation (the folder that you want to audit).

I want to audit everyone for object access on the entire hard drive on every
local workstation. . . How can i do this with a GPO??????

To do this, you would want to set this up on one workstation, do a capture
of the security policy, and distribute the policy to your workstations.

Warning though.... this will kill your performance.
