how ti import addresses and messages into Oulook 2000 from Express

Hello:
Firstly, I have exported the contacts from Express as 2
files, a .csv file and another as a "Address Book File".
Apparantly, the second type of file opens with "Address
Book". I was able to import .csv file into Outlook 2000
but the format in which the contacts were displayed is
different. How do I view them in a list form? Can I
import the Address Book file into Outlook 2000 in any
way?
Secondly, since Express did not allow me to export all my
messages, I manually copied them to the external backup
drve. Now, as I try to copy paste them back into Outlook
2000, it lists out the mails as attachments and does not
show the addresses in the "TO" field. How do I bring all
my messages into Outlook with all fields intact and in a
normal view.
Thanks,
Kavitha

The best way to transfer your address book from OE to OL is to use Outlook.
Click File>Import and Export. Select Import Internet Mail and Addresses and
click Next. Select Outlook Express, uncheck the Import Mail box and click
Next. Select the appropriate "duplicates" radio button for your needs and
click Finish.

Could you explain "did not allow"? What happened?

The best way to transfer your messages from OE to OL is to use OE. After
properly configuring your mail profile in Outlook, go back to Outlook
Express and click File>Export>Messages. It will transfer all your messages,
folders and all, to Outlook directly when you click OK. Alternatively, you
can use the method above that I described for moving addresses, but leave
the "Import Mail" box checked. This will change the delivery time stamp on
the messages, though, so they all look like they arrived at the time of
import.
