How set order Address books are searched? (OL addr book vs ldap)

I start to write a new mail message by selecting the Mail folder in Outlook
To select a recipient I press the “To…†button.

Every time I do this I have to wait 10-20s. The reason for the delay is that
Outlook starts looking for the recipient in my ldap catalog, and it never
gets to my “Outlook address bookâ€.

The ldap catalog is a web recourse at my university containing all teachers
an students.

I want to switch the order in which these two “address books or directoriesâ€
are searched so that it starts in my Outlook address book and only continues
to the ldap if it doesn’t find anything in my personal book (It worked like
that before I updated from Outlook 2000). I have tried to go to change the
order by
Inbox / Tools / Options… / Mail Setup / Email accounts
This start a wizard were I can change the directories that Outlooks uses. I
select “View or charge existing directories or address booksâ€.
This containes:
Name Type
ldap.xx.xx LDAP (ldap.xx.xx is the web address)
Outlook address book MAPI

I have tried to change the order of these two, with no result.

OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
Outlook 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1

Do you have an idea how to force Outlook 2003 start searching in the Outlook
address book?
