How Do you increased Font on Windows Vista?

I'd like to increase my font on my desktop as well when I go online to my
internet service American online. I don't want to increase my Icon on my
desktop, just the font to a larger size.

I own a HP new notebook and the font on both the desktop and on the
internet is just too small. My notebook carries Windows Vista.

Right click Desktop > click Personalize > under 'Tasks' click 'Adjust Font
size (DPI) > click Custom (DPI)

If that does not work, click Windows Color and Appearance in (Personalize) >
click Open Classic appearance properties for more color options > click
Advanced > click in the "Item:" lis box > select icon > then click in the
"Size:" list box and choose box size.

Andre gave good advice.

You didn't say, but I have a feeling that your laptop has a wide screen.
Many wide-screened laptops are no wider than a normal laptop; their screens
are the same width but the screen-height of the wide-screen laptop is much
less than the screen hight of a normal laptop. Less height typically means
each line of text is less tall and more difficult for many people to read.
If the laptop is new enough, perhaps you could exchange it for a
normal-screen laptop, which you might find more readable. I personally find
a normal-screen laptop to be much more readable, although occasionally I
miss the extra width.

AOL does two things for you: 1) gives you dialup access to the internet and
2) provides a window for its own content. Perhaps AOL has a way to change
the size of text withing the AOL window. Try doing an online chat with a
support person (hit control-K for AOL keywords, click 'Explore Keywords'
(under the input box) which opens a 'Discover AOL' windoow, and scroll down
and click 'Live Help' in the 'L' section. Perhaps they can tell you how to
make the text bigger and you can immediately try it and know if it helps
you.

For internet stuff that doesn't have to be accessed within the AOL window,
you can typically use Internet Explorer or FireFox or any browser of your
choice. You can minimize the AOL window and use your browser. Different
browsers have different methods to change font size and have varying
capability to override the styles that some control-freak web designers try
to force on their viewers. I personally like FireFox's way of letting the
user hit Control-Plus and Control-Minus (Plus & Minus keys on the numeric
keypad portion of the keyboard) to step the font size bigger and smaller.
