how do you get past a switchboard in Access to view the Menu bar

We have a database that has a switchboard on it. The person who designed the
database hid all of the menus so people could not access the table, report,
and forms data or make any changes to the database. How do I get around this
so that I can get to the table and menus? We need to convert the database
from XP to 97 and the person who created the database is not available to
assist me, nor did he leave any notes.

Try holding down the Shift key while starting the database.

That's the first step of many that may be needed, depending on how secure
the developer made the database.

For sure try the shift key, if that does not work, try creating a new mdb
then import the objects into it.
Still depends on how secure the developer made it.

Karen,

Does the name of your MS Access database file end in ".mdb" or
".mde"?
