How do I store the full directory of an image in frontpage

In the latest version of Frontpage (2003 SP1) for some reason when drop an
image into a designed page, it saves the HTML without the full path for the
image.

Previous versions didnt.

EG - Previous version would save in the HTML
src ="http://www.example.com/example.gif" etc

New version saves as
src = "example.gif"

This makes the HTML code unusable when you then paste this into a separate
tool (such as pasting into an ebay site listing etc, which will need the full
image directory to locate the file . . naturally)

Is this a new function to save time/html space and can I turn it off
anywhere? It's a showstopper as we use FP to code up all aour listings.

Previous versions where designed save image in the same manner as FP2003, however all versions will
save the full path in you edit a page without having a web / site open first. If you link to an
image that is on a remote server, then FP will prompt you save the embed images within the current
open web.

More detail

I put a base page together and dropped an image on it. It is within the web
site on the web. I select save and it prompts to save the file to the
current web BUT in the HTML code it doesn't contain the full path to the
image anymore (my FP 2002 did) . . Just the src="example.gif"

I am thinking this may be one of the many new options in the setup of
fp2003.

I still want to save within the current web . . But more importantly need it
to save the full address of the image within that current web (within the
HTML)

Very desparate . . Showstopper . . A day behind in development and will have
to either use find and replace to restore the full address in every file
listing (very time consuming) or change editor back to old version

Eeeeeek

Once the image is in the web site, there is no need to have a absolute URL to the image. All
versions of FP work this way.

Thank you

I may be going nuts, but all my FP work up until I installed the latest
frontpage used to store the image with the absolute URL to the image . . now
only with the relative

Where this is needed, is that many people use Frontpage to write TurboLister
or EBAY advertisements (to save on the cost of EBAY hosting) and then just
whack the HTML from FP into turbolister. This works perfectly given that the
absolute URL's for the images pointing EBAY straight to the site

I will go thru the HTML for each file and Find/replace the sections where
the images are going on unless I can find a way to make FP save absolute
URL's for images

Appreciate your help

Try just creating the page outside of a web on your local machine, see if that works....just create a 'loose' page.

you'll still have to correct the urls from referencing your harddrive files though---i think.
