How do I setup hotmail.com for reading cyrillic eMails?

I got eMails in my hotmail.com account with text in cyrillic characters.
I read them in InternetExplorer browser.
Unfortuantely they are not displayed as cyrillic but other unreadable chars.

How do I switch the display to cyrill chars?

It must be a hotmail issue because other webpages with cyrillic chars are displayed correctly.

It depends on the encoding in which they were prepared, so try each
of these three, until you see readable text:

- View/Encoding/Cyrillic(Windows)
- View/Encoding/Cyrillic(KOI8-R)
- View/Encoding/Unicode(UTF-8)
