How do I set up right-click context menu in Access?

Users used to be able to right-click on fields in forms and get the context
menu displayed - mainly so they can copy/cut and paste. However, this
capability is now gone; and I don't know why. It works when I go in as Admin
(Shift-Enter). But when I do the same thing as a user would on the same
machine, there is no menu when I right-click on fields. Is there someplace
where this is turned on or off?

Using Shift/Enter bypasses the start up options for the database. Check in
your Start Up options (Tools/StartUp), is "Default" listed for the the
shortcut menu bar or is a custom shortcut menu indicated? Also check your
form properties in design view. On the "Other" tab is an option for Shortcut
Menu, is this set to "Yes"? If yes, is there something entered for Shortcut
Menu Bar? This would indicate a custom shortcut menu has been designed and
attached to your form.

Default is the shortcut menu bar in Start Up. And all the forms have Yes for
the Shortcut Menu - changing to No has no effect - right click still does not
work. We can still use Ctrl-C and -V and the icons on the menu bar - but it
would be nice to have the right click back again.

I'm no expert, these were just the basics that I knew to check...have you
tried the "when all else fails" routine--import all your objects into a new
database?

The only other thing I can think of is that the Default shortcut menu has
been changed somehow. In your database window go to Tools/Toolbars/Customize.
On the pop up form go to the Toolbars tab and scroll down and click to select
Shortcut Menus, this should display a toolbar with all shortcut menus on it.
Select Form and the menu will drop down, select Form View Control. You should
now see the shortcut menu options that are available when users right click
on a field. If they are missing, just rebuild the menu by dragging options
from Command tab on the Customize pop up onto the shortcut menu.

Another option, provided you haven't customized any shortcut menus (NOTE:
customizing toolbars/menus changes them for ALL databases, not just the
current database) is to simply reset your shortcut menus. From the Customize
pop up window, select the Toolbars tab then scroll down and select Shortcut
Menus. On the right side of the Customize pop up select the button Reset. A
message box will ask you if you want to reset all shortcut menus, select OK.
This should reset all shortcut menus to their original state.

Hope this works. If not, I'll have to bow to someone else's knowledge. Good
luck.

Nope - neither of those did anything. The shortcuts for the Form View Control
are all there and everything and sure looks like it should work- thanks for
your time
