Or, if you are unable to read any of the above then check your local

old.

Hello Babs25;
Did you try going to "Start" Help and Support"???
The answer is definitely there. Instead of tying up band width next time do
a little research first.
To copy a file or folder

1.. Open My Documents.
If the file or folder you want to copy is not located in My Documents or
its subfolders, use Search to find it. To open Search, click Start, and then
click Search.

2.. Click the file or folder you want to copy.
3.. Under File and Folder Tasks, click Copy this file or Copy this folder.
4.. In Copy Items, select the drive or folder you want to copy to, and
then click Copy.
Notes

a.. To open My Documents, click Start, and then click My Documents.
b.. You can copy more than one file or folder at a time.
c.. To select consecutive files or folders, click the first item, press
and hold down SHIFT, and then click the last item. To select nonconsecutive
files or folders, press and hold down CTRL, and then click each item.
To move a file or folder

1.. Open My Documents.
If the file or folder you want to move is not located in My Documents or
its subfolders, use Search to find it. To open Search, click Start, and then
click Search.

2.. Click the file or folder you want to move.
3.. Under File and Folder Tasks, click Move this file or Move this folder.
4.. In Move Items, click the new location for the file or folder, and then
click Move.
Notes

a.. To open My Documents, click Start, and then click My Documents.
b.. To select a consecutive group of files, click the first file, press
and hold down SHIFT, and then click the last file. To select files or
folders in nonconsecutive order, press and hold down CTRL, and then click
the items you want.
c.. You can also move a file or folder by dragging it to the desired
location. For more information, click Related Topics.

Hi Babs25,

I will assume you are using Internet Explorer.

1. Go to the page you want to save
2. Click 'File' on the menu bar
3. Click 'Save As'
4. A save dialog window will open. If you are like most people, it
will default to save in the 'My Documents' folder
5. Note that when you look in the 'My Documents' folder, you will
see the page name you just saved plus a folder of the same name. The
..gif and .jpg will be in that folder.

Ciao . . . C.Joseph

Yes, everyone does have to start somewhere, and Jerry very kindly
pointed you in the right direction. Despite the absurd claims by
computer manufacturers' marketing departments, there's a lot more to
using a computer than simply clicking a single button to accomplish
complex tasks. A computer is a very powerful but complex tool, that
requires several months' practice to learn to use productively, and many
years to master.

Jerry's post wasn't the least bit abusive. The very nature of your
original question made it apparent that you've virtually *no* experience
using a computer, and were way over your head just trying to state your
problem. (I still have no idea what you're really asking after reading
your post several times.) Before you can run, you need to crawl, and
Jerry provided you with some very useful learning resources.

If you want help, you have to post your question in a manner that is
understandable.

One reply, and you've cavalierly condemned everyone else participating
in the newsgroup? You certainly don't handle even mildly implied
constructive criticism particularly well, do you?

It's not a forum, it's a newsgroup.

Be that as it may, if you're going to take offense whenever sincerely
offered helpful advice doesn't meet some mysterious criteria of your
own, and if you're going to condemn "everyone" because one of person's
response, you probably will stop getting help in very short order, anyway.

I disagree Bruce,
I read Jerry's reply post and I feel it was both helpful and abusive,
especially the reference to the ten year old.
As a supervisor, one of the most important things I learnt was even if it's
a stupid question it is important to the asker. Crawl before you work? Of
course! But to answer a question in a demeaning manner only serves to make
the asker more uncomfortable in asking. Try a little patience with people
of little knowledge. The only stupid people are the ones that don't ask
questions. Even though his question may have been over his head he still
asked, therefore wants to learn and I respect that.

Mickey

Sorry about top posting, but that's my chioce.
