how do I save my orginal messages in Inbox

The problem is :

After I re or fwd the orginal msgs it gets vanished in the inbox , I have
tried the tools>options> email a/c's> advanced email options>

and have checked the options
In folders other than inbox , save replies with original messages
save fwdd messages.

Also, I have tried che checking and unchecking the box for
closs original message on reply or fwd .

All these experiemtns in vain !! ultimately the mails are getting vanished.
Can somebody help !!!!

Check if there is any filter defined for you inbox.

How do I do that ? Just forgot to mention that I am facing this only last
couple of days ..I am using outlook express for the last 8-9mths and never
faced this .

Go to:
- View - Current View - Define View
- Select: Show All Messages and click Apply View...

View>Arrange By.Current View>Messages (for Outlook 2002/2003), View>Current
View>Messages (I believe) for Outlook 2000. I suspect you have "Unread
Messages" checked.
