how do I save a custom color?

My fill colour options include theme colors and standard colors; I can select
another color, but cannot save it. There is a particular custom color that I
prefer, and so I use it often. It will remain in the fill palette until I
close my work, but each time I re-open it, I have to select "More Colors" and
find it again. Is there a way to save this color in the "Fill" drop-down?

I think you could modify the current theme and save it as a custom theme in
a THMX file.. Replacing one of the current colors with yours. It would
only be available in that workbook and any others you loaded into it via
Page Layout, Themes, Browse for Themes.
