Custom Color Palettes

R

Raúl Plaza

I have received a workbook with a custom color palette.
Problem I experience and I do not know how to solve:
- I open this book (custom color palette)
- I open and old book (standard color palette) and the palette in this
workbook has changed to the one of the first book.

It does not matter the order I open the workbooks. It only happens to me.
Same workbooks are opened by another user and the result is that every
workbook keeps its color palette.

Can anybody help me please?
Colors are very important in my excel worksheets. They give me important
meaning.

Thanks for any idea or suggestion.
Kindest regards,
Raúl

It seems as though I have the same exact problem. I don't have a solution
yet, but what I've noticed happening is that an increasing number of the
files I use are getting their default excel color palettes replaced with a
very odd and ugly custom color palette when I view them.

Some observations: when I open a new instance of excel, files seem to open
with the default color palette UNTIL I save a file that has a custom color
palette in that instance of excel. From that point on, any file I open in
excel will inherit that custom color palette. Furthermore, if I save any of
those other files that have had their palettes modified, those modifications
are saved so they are permanently altered when either myself or anyone else
views them. Tools > Options > Color > Reset does nothing.
