how do I retreive a replaced file

Please help me. I was typing a word document and when I went to save it,
instead of saving it under a different name I clicked save & when the
computer asked me if I wanted to replace or rename the document I
accidentially hit enter before selecting rename and I replaced the document.
I have extremely important information on the "replaced file". Is there
anything I can do to resurrect that file?
