How do I remove the attachment icon when I send / receive picture

I use a picture as part of my e-mail signature. Every time I send or receive
a reply I get the file attachment icon included with the e-mail because of my
picture. I don't want to receive the attachment icon simply because I used a
picture for my e-mail signature. Can I turn it off just for pictures?

Unfortunately not. if there is something attached (and the image is), you'll
see the icon. If it's embedded in the email, some clients won't display the
attachment icon after it's rendered, but that isn't something you can
control.
