How do I reactivate links to web addresses in received emails?

When sent an email containing a hyperlink to a website or email address, if I
click on the hyperlink it no longer works. Instead it redirects me to
somewhere on the c drive.

How do I re-activate the link / set up so that the hyperlink goes to the
correct location.

This occurs on all emails / webaddresses and not just one specific one so I
know it's to do with my email set up not the other end.

Thanks
