How do I publish modified work hours on the exchange server?

My work hours are 9AM-3PM. I've modified my calendar to reflect my work
hours. But when I publish my calendar on the server, 24 hours each day are
shown as available for scheduling meetings. I presume the schedule
appointment tab is reflects the meeting organizer's work hours. How can the
meeting organizer see my work hours so he does not schedule meetings at
4:30PM, for example?

Set your non-work hours to a recurring daily workweek appointment of Busy -
mark it private.

Thanks. We tried that. It makes such a mess on my calendar because the
appointment shows every day. It's especially problematic when I print the
monthly view because there are a limited number of lines printed for each
day. Any other ideas?

The problem is that if you have nothing showing during a time (even 9 PM)
then Outlook presumes that it is available since appointments are not made
solely for business reasons. You could have a dinner appointment or an
after hours meeting with a client so Outlook will NOT mark your non-business
hours as off-limit. You can even have a party you need to go to that is
entirely personal - again, Outlook will NOT mark your non-business hours as
unavailable.

Outlook is a PERSONAL information manager (PIM) and not just a business
information manager. You will need to find a workaround that will work for
you - my suggestion is the most often used one for this purpose, but others
may have more suggestions that work better in your situation.
