How do I open a .xls email file when I don't have office?

I was sent an email with an attachment of a .xls file. I don't know how to
open it. I know it's proabably simple, but please help me. I don't have
Office on my computer. Thank You. Warren

Hi Warren,

Do you have any other Office-like program installed. Many competing
spreadsheet programs will open Excel files just fine. It depends on the
version of your software and the version of Excel that created the file
you're being sent.

Microsoft also offers a viewer that will allow you to view and print
Excel files created in Excel 97 and 2000. As far as I know they have not
made viewers available for later versions of Excel. Here's the link to
download the viewer, you may need to unwrap it:
