How do I make my PowerPoint slide show fill the whole screen

When I show my PowerPoint 2003 slide show, there is a black band at the top
and bottom of the screen. I'd like the slides to fill the whole screen. Does
anyone know how to do this please? Thanks very much

Check File, Page Setup. Your page size should be proportional to the size of
the screen you're playing the presentation back on.

For most normal screens (1024x768, 800x600 etc) that means that Width/Height
should equal 1.3333333etc

Check the LCD projector, some have a wide screen mode and does that, if it
does turn the wide screen mode off
