How do I install Outlook 2000 with Internet Explorer 6?

Hello everyone, my company offers a substantial discount on licensed
Microsoft software for its employees' home PCs from http://wwwshi.com I've
used my Compaq Armada 7792DMT with Windows 2000 Professional (build 2195) at
home for my projects since 2001, when I bought the Office 2000 bundle and it
came with 2 CDs, Disc 1 installs everything BUT Outlook 2000, Disc 2 installs
Internet Explorer 5 AND Outlook 2000... my laptop is already updated to IE6
which causes the Outlook 2000 installer to pop an error/warning box titled
"Outlook not installed" and the text reads "Internet Explorer 5 is required
before Outlook can install". My question is... Can I go around the IE5
"verifying" feature if the installer and complete the Outlook 2000
installation without having to install IE5? which I can't do anyway now that
IE 6 is already installed... any help, pointers, tips you guys/gals may
provide would be greatly appreciated...

Uninstall IE6 through Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs which should
revert you to IE5 which came with Windows 2000. Hopefully attempt to install
Office and, if all goes well, reinstall IE6.
