How do I get the XML-features of WORD2003 activated in SE?

Dear all!
MS advertises the new XML-features of WORD2003. Unfortunately, in the
footnotes they clarify, that these features are only available for WORD2003
bought on its own or with the Professional Edition. I wonder, if there is no
way to get these features working with a Standard Edition.

Many thanks for your help in advance!

No, XML doesn't come with the Standard Edition of Office.

I knew that the Standard Edition did not come with XML support.
Unfortunately, MS is writing this only in the "small print#2. However, my
question was, how I still could upgrade the Word2003, in order to have this
XML suport. This is only a feature of a product and not a product on its own.
Therefore, it is quite disappointing that honest costumer of a product should
not get the chance for an upgrade only for (poor) marketing reasons.

Hi Reinhold,

The full XML support for Word 2003 and Excel 2003 is only available in the Professional packages and in the standalone copies of
Word and Excel. (http://microsoft.com/office/howtobuy) The only 'upgrade' path within the Office 2003 family that recognizes
another 2003 product (rather than an earlier version or a MS Works product) that has that capability is the MS Office 2006 Small
Business Management Edition, which is MS Office 2003 Professional Edition plus MS Office Small Business Accounting 2006.

For MS Office 2007 there isn't a 'split personality' for Word and Excel planned as far as can be told from the information on
http://microsoft.com/office/preview
