How do I get the code needed to open Microsoft Word?

I recently reformatted my hard drive and subsequently lost all Word docs. I
have the discs to reinstall Office, but it won't allow it without the "code
on the jewel box" which doesn't exist.

Any solutions so I can use the Office programs, especially Word?

The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you post to the appropriate Windows or Office
newsgroup.

How was the original version of Office installed? If it was preinstalled
and you never had the CD's then the original disks (or someone elses CD
key) are required. If you are using a copy of CD's that belong to someone
else, besides being illegal and considered piracy, you will have to
purchase a copy of the program. I don't know if they sell word separately
anymore.
