How do I get Symbols in to Access ?

I need to use a lot of symbols for denoting Units (Eg. using Beta symbol for
bulk material coefficient etc) in MS Access. I am creating database tables
for end users to make entry in just values. I am unable to figure out how to
do this. I tried to copy symbols from MS Word but it doesn't work. Can
somebody help me please ? I am a new user of Access, with little experience.

Beta is B or b in the Symbol (Greek alphabet) font
