How Do I get rid of another user's mailbox?

I am running Microsoft Outlook 2000 SR-1 Corporate or Workgroup mode. I am
the network administrator and the Exchange Adminiatrator.

When a co-worker was out on vacation, I configured their mailbox so that
another user could read their email and reply as. Ignoring the Exchange
Server side for a moment, the Outllook sequence of commands looks something
like this:
1. Choose Tools\Services from the Outlook Menu. The system brings up the
Services dialog.
2. Select Microsoft Exchange Server and Click the Properties button. The
system displays the Microsoft Exchange Server Dialog.
3. Select the Advanced Tab and click the Add button in the Mailboxes frame.
The system displays an Add mailbox dialog.
4. In the Add mailbox dialog, type the users ID and click the OK button.
Assuming you have setup permissions correctly on the Exchange Server side,
when you exit all these dialogs, you now have that users mailbox showing as
an option in your Outlook.

To remove a mailbox from your list you follow the same procedure to the
Microsoft Exchange Server Dialog, except when you get to the Advanced tab,
you select the mailbox you want to remove and choose the Remove button.

Well, I did that, and the mailbox was removed in the Exchange Server dialog,
only the mailbox is not disappearing in Outlook proper! I do not know why.

I have other mailboxes that represent support users ID's that will disappear
when I take this action. I can not tell what is different about this
person's mailbox that it hangs around. I do not want to see this person's
mailbox anymore. I have reconfigured the Exchange server side so that the
relevant ID no longer has permissions to "Reply As" etc., but that does not
remove the mailbox from Outlook. It is very frustrating. I actually ran
Microsoft Office repair to see if that would reset something, but it did
not. I do not want to reinstall everthing thing just to fix it.

I am wondering if there is a registry setting somewhere that would allow me
to force the system to re-read some configuration setting so that it will
drop that mailbox from my folders list.

I published this message weeks ago and got no response. I am hoping that
someone will take an interest this time. Your help will be greatly
appreciated.
