how do i get my distribution lists to show up

I added a distribution list to my contacts. When I try to address an email
to the distribution list and press ctrl-k to check the names outlook does not
recongize the distribution list I created. How do I get outlook to recognize
the distribution list I created in my contacts?

DL's will show up if they are valid and contained in a folder that you have
enabled for autoresolution.
