Exploding names from a distribution list into separate contacts

Is there a way to "explode" the names from a distribution list into separate
contacts? I have a distribution list that was built from another contact
list, so the names are not in my Contacts independent of a distribution list.
I know I could do this "manually" by expanding the distro in a new message,
right clicking on each one, and clicking Add to Outlook Contacts.

The reason I need to do this is because I'm exporting my contacts to a csv
file. When I do this, the file does not have any names from distribution
lists in it.

Can't you save the DL as a text file, designate the fields clearly, then
import it into your Contacts Folder?
