My name is Jovany. I am a referral coordinator. I
work with insurances. I want to create an insurance
eligibility database for specialty care providers? I need
to know how to do three things in excel 2003 and knowing
the fourth would be mozeltov.
First I would need a listing template. It has to
include names addresses phone numbers and id numbers for
each insurance a provider accepts.
One provider can accept as many as 50 different
insurances or as few as 10. Also, I need to separate the
providers by specialty type.
Second, I need to make a page for each specialty
branch such as Orthopedist, OB/GYN, and Ophthalmologist
etc. I would like to use the same listing template on
each page.
Also, Insurance Companies come, go merge or rename
them selves. So, I would need to be able to add/delete or
rename columns in the listing template. However,
manually editing the template on each page is time
consuming.
Third, I need the template to synchronize to each
page. Each list needs to reflect the adding, deleting
or renaming of insurance carriers or the list column
heading.
Also, because there is a new feature on excel 2003
that allows you to filter the rows by the values of list
column heading, I would like to know what value to enter
into a cell, under the insurance heading, so that
providers that are non-participants of a insurance can be
filtered out at a glance. Of course it would be cake if
this action synchornized to the other pages.
This database would make my work timelier when
sending a patient for specialty care according to their
insurance.
