how do I configure Outlook 2002 for DSL?

I have been using Outlook 2002 for a couple of years - no problem until I
installed Qwest Premium DSL. Now Outlook does not send or receive. Internet
Explorer works. In Email settings; connections I have set "connect using
LAN." In Control Panel; Phone and modem options I have tried to add a new
modem, but Plug & Play does not recognize the DSL modem. The DSL modem is
plugged into the ethernet port.
