How do I change the color of the actual box for a check box?

In a report I have 4 check boxes that I want the actual box (that the check
mark is inside)of the check box to be red. How do I get the color properties
of the box itself.

There are none. It's a standard Windows widget and only changes with Windows
settings. You can use the character from WingDings or WebDings font that looks
like a checkbox and set the color of that,
