How do I change color of text of letter?

I type a letter save it. When I went to retrieve it , it was in red text
color. How do i change it to black?

Ctrl+A, Format | Font: Automatic. If that doesn't work, perhaps you had
Track Changes enabled? If so, you'll need to accept all the changes.
