How do I cancel a read receipt?

Hello,



I recently blindly accepted sending a read receipt through a POP3 account
that isn't configured for sending mail. Now Outlook is constantly trying to
send the receipt and I keep getting error messages.

How can I cancel this read receipt? The account itself cannon be configured
for sending and deleting and re-creating the account has not worked.
