How can Outlook 2003 become my default email software ?

I recently installed Office 2003. Before installing Office 2003, I was using
Outlook Express as my email software. When I installed Office 2003, I
imported all the email messages and email accounts from Outlook Express to
Outlook 2003 without a hitch.

A few minutes ago, From Windows Explorer, I mailed a file using its
contextual menu and selecting the <Send To> and <Mail Recipient> menu
options. The file was sent OK but the message wasn't added to the <Sent
Items> folder in Outlook. Instead, it went to the <Sent Items> in Outlook
Express. I'd prefer that all my sent messages land in Outlook instead of
Outlook Express.

How can I do that ?

Thanks

Have you set Outlook as the default here: Control Panel > Internet Settings
applet > Programs tab

Hi Vince,
"Microsoft Office Outlook" is my E-mail program. This is what's indicated
under the "Programs" tab in the "Internet Properties" dialog box. It seems
that the source of my problem is somewhere else.

Thanks anyways

Try starting Outlook with the /CheckClient command line switch.

I don't think that it's going to make any difference. I think that this
/CheckClient switch gets executed when Outlook is started. When I use a
file's <Send To> <Mail Recipient> command, I'm not starting Outlook.

Thanks anyway,
