How can I stop my sent messages getting deleted?

I can not stop outlook automatically deleting my sent messages after a week
or so. It seems that they are being deleted or auto archived somewhere I
cannot find.

Have you checked the AutoArchive properties on the folder to see if they're
being archived to another PST file?

Right click on the Sent folder, Properties, Auto Archive, set it to Never
auto archive. Also check your View settings for the folder. Perhaps you have
it set to show Messages less than 7 days old.
