How can I set up slides in ppt to have 2 pictures on 1 slide?

I am doing a presentation that needs to include 2 photographs on 1 slide a
few times. Whic slide layout do I choose for that or how do I that without
losing quality of the picture?
Thanks.

It's not clear what the issue is. Are both pictures to be visible at
the same time? If so, they will need to be resized, if they occupy
more than half of the available width (or height), thereby losing some
'quality'. I can't see how that could be avoided - there are only so
many pixels to work with.

The amount of degradation depends on how much of a size reduction is
needed to get both to fit on the page. If there is a feature (or lack
thereof) in one of the pictures, near a corner one picture can be made
to overlap the other on a diagonal to minimize the amount of resizing
needed.

As far as the layout is concerned, I generally go with a title block
only and then paste the two pictures, position and resize as needed.
Add text boxes as needed to provide captions, if desired.

If that doesn't address you're issue, you'll need to give more detail
as to the problem and what you want to achieve, I think.
