How can I schedule a monthly mtg. on the 5th (NOT last) Thurs.

I cannot find an explanation of how to specify a monthly recurring meeting on
the FIFTH (say) Thursday of a month. It should be offered in the dropdown
and work like specifying the 31st of a month. That is, schedule NO meeting
in a month that does not have a fifth Thursday. The only options offered are
First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Last. But in many cases, the Last Thursday
is the fourth, that is, there is no fifth Thursday in the month. As stated
above, this should work like specifying the 31st day of every month -- if the
month has only 30 days, Outlook doesn't schedule a meeting.

Unfortunately, Outlook doesn't offer that choice. You'll need a tool like

Thanks for the response, Brian. Two things seem to argue against the use of
the Websetters utility as a solution. One is that (at present) it doesn't
indicate it works with Outlook 2007, just with 2003 and some earlier
versions. Second problem, one that I didn't think of, is that because I
synch the Outlook calendar with my Palm Tungsten the same function has to be
incorporated into the Palm. Palm also offers only "Last Thursday" as a
repeat option. I think I'm stuck with manually inserting meetings on 5th
Thursdays, and ignoring/cancelling those that fall on the fourth Thursday.
There are eight to ignore in the next 12 months -- yech!

You could always write to the support address on the Repeat Appointments web
page and ask.

Since the Palm would sync its dates from Outlook, if you can get it into
Outlook the way you want, the Palm would have to follow. You couldn't
create the appointments there, but they'd get there from Outlook.
