How can I run Outlook minimized without it appearing in the task .

I would like to run Outlook in the background and have it not appear on my
taskbar when minimized. Is there a way to have it only appear in the quick
launch bar (ie. next to the clock)?

I'm running Outlook 2003/WinXP and as the law of irony dictates, I figured
out almost immediately AFTER I posted the question! When Outlook is
running, an icon appears in the taskbar. When you rightclick the icon, one
of the options is "Hide When Minimized." There you have it. So simple, I'm
imbarrased. Thank you all for your input!
