How can I remove the privacy lock from an appointment?

I accidentally placed an event in the privacy mode on my calendar. How can I
either delete this item or remove the privacy status so that it can be viewed
on the calendar?

Is this your calendar or someone else's that you open? If it's yours, why
can't you simply uncheck the Private box?

I just looked at my personal calendar appointments and could not find a
private box to uncheck. I scrolled through several places and never saw one.
Could you provide its location? Thank you.

Got a version for that Outlook? Mine's a check box at the bottom right of
the item when opened.

Hi Brian:

Mine is 2007 and no sign of a box at bottom right of a calendar item when
opened. Wonder if that's a screen setting.
