How can I let Outlook mail faster ??**

Hi all,

I am using an access DB to mail out e-mails automatically with each an
attachmnt of aproxx 400KB ,and it works fine however the DB sends one email
order per 1 second and Outlook can handle 30-35 fine(these are sent out
reasonably fast) ,but the moment it passes 35 it "clogs" up and it then
takes very long for the e-mails to get sent out!

Is there some way I can speed up this process?

Do you have anti virus intergrated with Outllook?
If so uninstall it, the AV, reboot & test

In addition to DL's responds, it could also be your ISP reducing your (SMTP)
bandwidth because of high email usage. Contact them to verify your
send/receive restrictions.

no, some isp's won't allow more than a certain # of messages per minute or
other time frame as an antispam measure. if yours does you'll need to use a
program that slows sending or break the list into smaller chunks and pause
between them.

I have about 60.000 adresses but this will probably be increased to 100.000
,and you guys are the experts , can you advise me which software I should
use,I don't mind buying if necessary only It is critical that I must be able
to attach one or more (but at least one) file to each message, also I must be
able to set qty of mails to send per minute because of my ISP ,

A generic attachment or a personalized one?
In case of the first, you could consider;

Another way to go would be to have a 3rd party handle your mailings. For
that amount of emails, it probably would be a better way to go if your ISP
already has restrictions in place.
If you were to send out 100.000 messages and set it to send 20 messages per
minute (1 every 3 seconds), than it would take you about 3,5 days of
continuous processing or still over a day when sending a message every
second. That's a long time in which lots of things can go wrong and since
you are doing it client based; you cannot really use the client while the
process is running.

That is 60 thousand to 100 thousand? You'd probably be better off with a
commercial mailing service or an application that does not go through
Outlook (connects directly to the SMTP server). Even with a utility, outlook
is going to be slow - it may take a day or two to send that many.

If those numbers are 60 - 100, then outlook will handle it easily and you
just need to slow the sending so you don't hit ISP blocks.

To use Outlook: if you need to include attachments, you'll need to mail
merge or put very few addresses on each message. Mail merge is preferred
(because each messages is sent only to the recipient, not BCC'd to a a
group) but to include an attachment, you need to use a tool as outlook's
mail merge does not support attachments. I think both Sperry Software and
Mapilab utilities at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/massmail.asp will do
what you need as will pc imail and others listed there.

after having read all the feedback I think it would be better to work with a
commercial mass mailing provider, do you guys know any good legitimate sites
or programs I can use??
