hello
i want to know how can i know the address of processes in task manager and
how can i end desirable process permanently and how can i know which one of
them is necessary for system.
in task manager of my windows xp home edition it shows that the commit
charge is :388M/1228M
how can i optimize the spedd of my computer

There is no advantage in trying to increase free memory. Unused memory is
wasted memory. It's not so important how many processes are running as what
they are.

There are some windows services that are essential, but many of the other
items running are optional though some are important such as AV program.
Research the items running in process explorer through these sites:

System services are disabled through services.msc.

To stop programs from running on startup first step should be to check in
the options for the program you don't want to start and see if there is a
setting to tell it not to run at startup. The next step is to remove any
entries you don't want from the two startup folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

For anything else uncheck their entries in the startup tab of msconfig:
Start | Run | Msconfig | Ok

Another option is to remove the reference to them from one of these keys in
the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

Make sure you have a backup of the registry using a program like ERUNT
before making any changes to the registry.
