How can I double check these files in AVG Virus Vault?

A while ago, AVG found 3 files that were called backdoor trojans.

They are now in its "Virus Vault."

I then d/l AVAST and did a thorough scan and it found no viruses.

Some questions:

1) Would it have found those files in the Virus Vault if they were trojans?

2) Is it possible that this was a false positive?

3) If yes, is there some way I can get to those files and test them? I know
I can restore those files, but I am very hesitant to do so (also, I deleted
the folder containing one of the files, so where would it go-- would it
recreate that folder?)

MB:

Submit the suspects to Virus Total - http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html and the
samples will be tested against several AV vendor's scanners.

AVG may have neutered the files when it moved them to the VV.
2) Is it possible that this was a false positive?

Probably not.

Personally, I would just want to delete them.

I had a backdoor Trojan today I got from following a link from a post on
this group--I clicked on the Heal button and it vaporized (AVG7).
I think the Virus Vault is there because there are little files in MS Word
types of programs that could be used in viruses--AVG6 used to come up with a
few daily, and you would want to isolate them in case they need to be
restored to make something work. If not you can delete them safely.
