I have loaded digital pic's into 2 different programs on my pc. I want to
copy and then paste into a discussion forum to discuss these photos. My photo
programs let me copy but when i try to paste, the paste function is greyed
out.
How can I move pic's from my photo management programs, into another document?

You cannot "Paste" into a discussion forum.
You need to upload the picture to an internet site and then use it from
there. The forum you are trying to reach should give you directions on how
they want you to do this.

If you want to copy a photo into a document you can use Copy and Paste, but
the software you are using must be capable of accepting a photo file,
otherwise the Paste option will be grayed out.

To practice this, do the following.
1. Right click on one of your photo file.
2. Click on Copy on the opening list
3. On XP, you have a free software, called Paint. Open it. To do this, click
on Start, All Programs, Accessories (probably listed at or close to the top
of the opening list) and then click on Paint on the opening list.
4. Paint will open, click on Edit on the top bar and click on Paste on the
opening menu. You photo will now open in Paint.

If you have something like Microsoft Word software on your computer, open
it. When you are ready to insert a picture in the document click on Insert
on the top bar. Click on Picture on the opening list. A window will open to
let you navigate to the folder where the picture is. Double click on the
file name of the picture and it will be inserted in your Word document.

If you are new to digital pictures and not very computer oriented I would
recommend you download and install two free programs that you can use to do
a lot with pictures.

www.picasa.com
www.faststone.org

Both are easy to use.
