Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.'
reported error (0x800CCCF4) : 'An unknown error has
occurred. Please save any existing work and restart the
program.

I've seen quite a few posts from folks getting the error message above when trying to access Hotmail folders from within Outlook 2003. I tried the recommended solutions from these discussion groups and Microsoft's Knowledge Base with no success

Has anyone found a solution

Thanks in advanc

What have you tried? I don't think there's anything you can do on your
computer to solve this - it is usually the result of a proxy server sitting
between you and Hotmail that doesn't understand the HTTP/DAV protocol that
Hotmail uses. If this is the case, the only way to fix the problem is to
upgrade the proxy server to one that does support the protocol.

I have the same issue. Have tried everything listed, and do not have
a proxy server working on my end. I use Comcast, so can't say what
they have at their end, but they are one of the largest ISP's...

In addition, I have sufferred from the problem of Outlook 2003 being
unable to remember a single password on my POP accounts, no matter how
many times I check the box.

I have tried the registry edit suggested for the password issue--no
luck. Have uninstalled/reinstalled. Tried system resotre, only to
find that my O2002 no longer functions.

I am at the point of completely removing outlook 2003 and switching to
forte agent.
