homepage takeover by omegasearch.com

My IE has been taken over by a website called omegasearch.com (actual thread = http://search.lop.co/search/search.cgi?affid=80&src+homepage&s=Internet). I have tried resetting my regular homepage but this nightmare keeps returning. How do I get rid of it???

indicates that the uninstaller at
http://www.omegasearch.com/help.html#uninstall will work.

There are some detailed instructions at

If unsuccessful with those, HijackThis should be used to
post a log to the appropriate forum at one of these sites.
