For some reason, Explorer 6 won't let me change my deafult
homepage. The field is grayed out, and the buttons (use
currrent, use default, etc) are also grayed out.
I've run Spybot S&D, and have scanned all files with the
latest definitions of VirusScan. So I'm stuck with Hotbot
as my homepage, which isn't that bad, but I'd still like
the option to change it. Any ideas?

If you used Spybot's Immunize feature turn it off, make your change, and
turn it back on.

Hi, Frank. I'm not the original poster, but your answer just made me
realize what went wrong with my computer when I tried making an
experimental change to my default home page. It deactivated Internet
Options in IE but let me access the area in Control Panel, where I
changed back. So... good old Spybot... I really need to read its
Immunize description more closely.

Hi Maureen,
Most of what you need to know on immunize is here:

There's plenty more at the Net-Integration SpyBot Forum but the site has been up
and down most of the day.
Here's the URL: http://net-integration.net/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi
