Home Page Problem

J

Jim Cladingboel

Since installing IE7 some days ago I have had a problem
connecting to my Home Page and it seems to be getting
worse.
I have to click on the link and press Refresh and when
this doesn't work, click many times on the Home icon
and the Refresh button until connection is finally established.
Which can take some time.
Once I connect I have no further problems.
I have checked and rechecked that the correct address
is in Internet Options but have now run out of ideas.
Using XPHome/SP3. TIA for a solution,

Jim.

Use my Remove-it software, it will remove that malware from your system.
Choose yes for all options when prompted. Download it here

I have not read one post in this ng that says anything positive about
PCButts1's programs, except for his/her own posts.

I found pcbutts links / tools to be helpful.

If you are going to have to do a repair / install anyway. What do you have to lose. Report back with results. That
will be helpfull to many.

Thanks to all who responded.
I created a restore point, downloaded the Remove It
program, followed the instructions and ran it.
It didn't cure my problem, but seems to have done
no harm, so I'm still open to suggestions for a cure.

Since the problem is still there then run my diagnostic tool called
whatslivern. That file after a few seconds, when complete, will generate a
log file. That log file will be saved in the same directory you ran the
program from, using the email link at the bottom of my page send me a copy
of that log file. http://pcbutts1.com/downloads/tools/tools.htm

Chris, Stalking on the internet is a crime, your signature indicates you
are a sick individual stalking myself as well as others, you have
warned, again.

Yeah, and if you decide to report him, what's the likelihood that any
trouble will come of it for him?

NONE.

Your posts are empty threats.

As long as he's exposed for his actions he harms himself and his
reputation.

Further to my advice above, on shutting down, my PC froze at
"Saving your settings". Couldn't be sure if it was coincidence
or RemoveIt. Either way, I used the Restore point I created
before using that software.
In the absence of any other suggestions guess I have little
choice but to try out "whatslivern" !
